F1 2010 - Codemasters vs Real F1 in Monaco

World Rally Championship 2010 - UK Debut Trailer

Black Bean Games has released an UK debut trailer from their upcoming racing game World Rally Championship 2010 for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Black Bean Games has announced the release date for their official World Rally Championship game as the title is scheduled to be available starting October 8th. The game will feature all 13 rally events from the 2010 schedule and cars from the WRC, Junior WRC and the Production WRC class.

iRacing.com has released a preview screenshots of the Pocono International Raceway.

Pocono International Raceway also known as the Tricky Triangle has a unique design. Each turn is modeled after turns at 3 different tracks. Turn One (14 degree banking) was modeled after the now defunct Trenton Speedway, Turn Two (also known as "The Tunnel Turn") is like Indianapolis Motor Speedway (9 degree banking), and Turn 3 (6 degree banking) is similar to The Milwaukee Mile.

Electronic Arts have released a GamesCom trailers from their racing game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.

Loaded with action, this game will challenge you to become Seacrest County's top cop or most wanted racer. For the first time ever in a Need for Speed game, you'll be able to play a full career on either side of the law. This fall, whether you're a lead-foot speeder or a cop with a mean streak, make sure your aviators are spotless and your driving record is anything but.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is scheduled for release on November 16th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

iRacing.com - Real vs. Virtual - Road America

EvilSamiad has released the comparison video of real and virtual Road America race track in iRacing.com simulation. It is a showcase of the amazingly accurate iRacing tracks with real world photography.

Road America is a road course located near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. It has hosted races since the 1950s and currently hosts races in the SCCA Speed World Challenge Series, American Le Mans, ASRA, and AMA Superbike series. It is one of only a hand-full of road circuits in the world maintaining its original configuration being 4.048 miles (6.515 km) in length and 14 turns. The track features many elevation changes, along with a long front stretch where speeds approaching 200 mph (320 km/h) may be reached.

Need for Speed: World - Review by GameTrailers.com

GameTrailers.com has released a video review of the racing game Need for Speed: World developed by EA Black Box.

Need for Speed: World is an upcoming installment in the long-running racing video game Need for Speed franchise published by Electronic Arts. This iteration is being developed by EA Black Box, the first MMORG in the Need for Speed series since Motor City Online, exclusively for Windows-based PCs.

Some of the new features in this release include new Power-Ups, new cars, improved police encounters, visual updates to the world, and performance/stability optimization. The most important addition will be the ability to purchase Power-Ups using the Need for Speed World in-game currency called SpeedBoost.

nail'd - GC 10 Trailer

Techland has released a new trailer from the nail'd showing slow-motion gameplay footage from GamesCom 2010. Prepare to go bigger, ride faster, and crash harder in the extreme racing world of Nail'd.

nail'd is an upcoming off-road arcade racing game currently under development by Techland. The game focuses on ATV and dirtbike racing, with an emphasis on speed and tricks.

nail'd is scheduled for release on November 15, 2010 for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

iRacing.com - Top 10 Qualifiers for Intel GP Series

Nearly 2,500 top sim racers from all over Europe competed in the first of three regional rounds of the Intel GP Series in Week 13.  The week-long European regionals featured daily Star Mazda races at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, with the week’s top ten points-getters advancing to the European Regional Finals.

Those ten iRacers are Martin Macjon (Germany), Richard Towler (England), Greger Huttu (Finland), Bastien Bartsch (France), Andre Boettcher (Germany), Sebastian Schmalenbach (Germany), Vit Mistina (Czech Republic), Sven Mitlehner (Germany), Armelin Weisse (France) and David Williams (England).  They are set to compete in the European Regional Finals on August 21, 2010 at 1 P.M. CEST, an event that will be broadcast on iRacing.com.

The US/Canada regional round will be held September 7-13, with the US/Canada Regional Finals set for October 9.  Details on the Asia/Australia regionals will be announced shortly.

Organized by Intel and iRacing.com, the Intel GP Series is a global online racing tournament featuring the world’s top sim racers.  Following the three regional finals, ten top qualifiers from around the world will travel to Germany in March, 2011 for a final 30 lap championship race held in conjunction with the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship.  Total prize money in the Intel GP Series World Finals event is $26,000.  In addition, everyone who competes in the full European, US/Canada and Asia/Australia regional round is eligible to win an Intel Core i7 Extreme Processor and Motherboard.

Gran Turismo 5 - Car Battles Mix

VisionRacer has released a video from Gran Turismo 5 showing us the online spectator mode.

Gran Turismo 5 is to be the fifth edition of the highly acclaimed Gran Turismo racing simulator series, scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2010. For the first time in the main series, an online mode will be available in the game, with 16 player capability. Both mechanical and external damage have been confirmed, along with interior damage for 170 "premium" cars. Night racing will make a reappearance for GT5, with every course having the option for night racing. Weather effects are also confirmed to be included, although the extent of the implementation is currently unknown. GT5 will be the first Gran Turismo game in the series' history to display in an optional Stereoscopic-3D resolution.

Colin McRae DiRT 3 – Screenshots

Codemasters have released a preview screenshots of their racing upcoming rally game Colin McRae DiRT 3.

DiRT 3 will offer the '70s cars such as the Lancia Stratos, the famously fierce Group B cars of the mid-80s are represented by Quattro S1, RS2000 and Peugeot 205 among others. The '90s gives us the Toyota Celica, the Lancia Delta Integrale or Colin McRae's Subaru Impreza.

Colin McRae DiRT 3 is scheduled for release in 2011 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game will feature over 50 cars that can be raced on over 100 stages.

Colin McRae DiRT 3 – Trailer

Codemasters has released a first video trailer of the Colin McRae: DiRT 3.

The DiRT 3 trailer features US star Ken Block driving the Monster World Rally Team Ford Fiesta across dirt tracks in Africa, having a race with a Ford RS200 somewhere in Europe, traversing a snow covered test and finally, a trip round the fictional Battersea rallycross circuit.

Colin McRae: DiRT 3 will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. A release date has yet to be set for the title.

F1 2010 - Developer Diary Video No.5

Codemasters have released the 5th developer diary video. This video focuses on the off-track features in the game, including media management, car setup and all the support staff that will aid the player in the game's career mode.
