The Ford Racing Mustang FR500 is a highly tuned race variant of the Ford Mustang, featuring V8 engine. These are turn key race cars not designed for public road use.
FR500S is powered by Ford's 4.6L V8 engine, it is rated at 325HP. The FR500S is often slotted in between the FR500C and FR500GT. The car was designed by both Ford Racing and Miller Motorsports for the Mustang Challenge series. The car features similar aerodynamic parts like those used on the FR500GT, but uses a DOT approved racing tire BFGoodrich g-Force R1.
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a road course auto racing facility. It was opened in 1962 by Les Griebling and several Mansfield-area businessmen as a location for weekend sports car racing. The track opened as a 15-turn, 2.4 mile (3.86 km) road circuit run clockwise. The back portion of the track allows speeds approaching 180 mph (290 km/h). There is grandstand seating for 10,000 spectators, and three observation mounds alongside the track raise the capacity to over 75,000.

iRacing.com - Okayama & Mazda MX-5
iRacing.com’s star is definitely on the rise in the land of the rising sun. iRacing recently signed an agreement with the Okayama International Circuit that will see the former home of the Formula One Pacific Grand Prix join the growing number of international circuits available to our membership. And, thanks to some energetic web sites, many iRacers are now aware that we are already doing some preliminary work on the Mazda MX-5 in the hopes of introducing the popular two-seater later this year. (Although it should be noted that iRacing.com and Mazda have not, as yet, put pen to paper on a final agreement regarding the MX-5.)
The 2.3 mile, 11 turn Okayama International Circuit (formerly known as TI Circuit Aida) was the scene of the 1994 and ’95 F1 Pacific Grands Prix and, more recently, has played host to Formula V6 Asia, Super GT Championship International and World Touring Car Championship events. In addition to being one of the world’s most popular sports cars, the Mazda MX-5 is one of the world’s most raced sports cars and is a staple of the SCCA’s Pro Racing Playboy MX-5 Cup pro series as well as the Showroom Stock B amateur class.
