Need for Speed: The Run - On The Edge Trailer

Electronic Arts have released a new trailer of the upcoming Need for Speed: The Run.

The game is described as "An illicit, high-stakes race across the country. The only way to get your life back is to be the first from San Francisco to New York. No speed limits. No rules. No allies. All you have are your driving skills and sheer determination as you battle hundreds of the world's most notorious drivers on the country's most dangerous roads."

Need for Speed: The Run will be released on November 15, 2011 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo 3DS.

Need for Speed: The Run - Demo trailer

Electronic Arts have released a new trailer announcing the demo version of the upcoming Need for Speed: The Run.

Need for Speed: The Run is a racing video game, the 18th title in the Need for Speed franchise, and is being developed by EA Black Box and will be published by Electronic Arts. The game is described as "An illicit, high-stakes race across the country. The only way to get your life back is to be the first from San Francisco to New York. No speed limits. No rules. No allies. All you have are your driving skills and sheer determination as you battle hundreds of the world's most notorious drivers on the country's most dangerous roads."

Gran Turismo 5 - Update 2.0 announced


Creator of the Gran Turismo 5 Kazunori Yamauchi has announced Spec 2.0 update. It will be available for free in the third week of October 2011.

Features:
- Simplified interior views added to all standard cars.
- User control of the weather change feature.
- Settings sheet which allows you to save multiple car settings.
- New Spec 2.0 opening movie.
- Improved UI response and usability.
- Replay forward/rewind.
- Mid-race save feature for endurance races.
- Expanded online lounge features (narrowing down car types, shuffle races…).
- Expanded Photo Travel features (you can now take photos of cars together with your avatar).
- Added “NASCAR Pit Scene” stage to Photo Travel.
- Added 11 new 2011 NASCAR models.
- Added the Nissan GT-R N24 Schulze Motorsport
- Improved physics and artificial intelligence.

BMW M3 GT2 rim for Fanatec ClubSport wheel

Fanatec announces the official BMW M3 GT2 racing wheel rim for the Fanatec Clubsport wheel. This wheel is compatible on PC and PlaySation 3 and will be sold as separate add-on for the upcoming ClubSport wheel base.

The presentation was made at the 25th anniversary festival of the BMW factory in Regensburg. The proffesional touring car race driver Dirk Adorf used the wheel in his race car and on the simulator.

Turn 10 has released a intro trailer of their upcoming Forza Motorsport 4 racing game.

InsideSimRacing.tv - Ferrari F1 Wheel for the T500RS

InsideSimRacing.tv presents the unboxing of the Ferrari F1 add on Wheel to the Thrustmaster T500RS wheel. This wheel is a replica of the wheel of the real Ferrari F150 Italia Formula One Car. The wheel is interchangeable with the GT wheel that comes standard on the T500RS. In this video they unbox the wheel rim and take a first look. Then they install it to the T500RS and get it up and running.

rFactor 2 - HDR effects

Image Space Incorporated has released new preview screenshots of the rFactor 2 simulation showing us new HDR effects with Renault Megane Trophy car Nissan GT-R.

rFactor 2 is still on-target for release later this year and will for the first time place the driver in the dynamic environment real life drivers feel every weekend. With moving trackside objects, changes to the racing line including rubber build-up and marbles, day-night-day transitions, wet-dry transitions and a very advanced new tire model, no two laps will truly feel the same.
